Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

Adelfi Advisory is a business name of Ivan Ocampo, based in Adelaide, South Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our work, why, and how we look after it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • When you contact us: your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the approximate number of jobs you're running, and anything you write in your message.
  • When you become a client: contact details for you and your staff, plus the business and financial records you give us access to for the engagement. That access is covered by your engagement letter.
  • Website data: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical data, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the site securely and block malicious traffic. We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call.
  • To deliver the services set out in an engagement letter.
  • To meet our legal, insurance and record-keeping obligations.

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for marketing to third parties.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers we use to run the business, such as email, file storage, accounting software and website hosting. We share it only as far as they need it to provide their service. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with recognised security standards. We'll also disclose information where the law requires it.

Client financial data

Please don't send financial records or job figures through the website form. Client data is exchanged only after an engagement letter is signed, through access you grant and can withdraw (for example, read-only access to Xero or MYOB) or a secure file-sharing link. You own your data. When an engagement ends, we stop accessing it and handle any copies as your engagement letter sets out.

How we protect it

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), multi-factor sign-in on business accounts, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing hello@adelfiadvisory.com.au. We'll reply within two business days and aim to resolve the matter within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
